Behind the scenes promo video

We made a behind the scenes promotional video because we took inspiration from the type of videos that you would see on the MTV music channel. We felt like we needed something extra/ alternative to go with our music video because it is quite a disrupted video, however we didn't want the audience to think the whole album was going to be like this throughout. Its basically showing our artists true character and fun side, we did it to attract our target audience. This also really helped with contributing towards the branding of Faith, because it shows her bubbly personality and how fun and passionate she is. The video contains details about her new single. At the end we did a serious shot where she said her quote 'keep it real, keep the faith', we like this quote because it encourages young people. With the branding of Faith, we liked to reuse this quote as much as possible; this is because it shows that she does have a very caring warm heart that goes out towards her fans and their struggles. It also shows that she is a real person, in the real world and she has been through what everyone else has but has kept real and kept her faith. Faith is an inspiration to in particular younger teens so we thought it was important to incorporate something like this. By using her name, it was a bonus because it makes her very original and also the quote will stay with her throughout her career, as it makes you instantly simultaneously think of Faith.
We made it look like it was behind the scenes by filming her in front of the green screen. green screens are popularly used in music videos and instantly recognised for that reason.
The reason why I didn't over edit this video is because we wanted it to be quite informal and spontaneous. We had it in our heads to create a video like this since we started this project, however we did not plan too much into it, and left the dialogue, editing and setting quite last minute. We did this because we only wanted it to be short and put together. Videos similar to this on MTV don't ever look like they have been thought too much into or premeditated, so we didn't worry too much about it.
I like the overall promo video, I think its fun and gets across exactly what we want. The length is perfect, not too short that you have to watch it again just to re watch what's being said, however not too long that the audience would get bored or fed up.
